The theme for today's club meeting at UPS Alabang was "Teachers' Day". Teachers' Day way celebrated last week and the fun table topics portion today pertained to things about teaching.

UPS Alabang Toastmasters Club Mentoring - 10th, Evaluation & Feedback Evaluator Speech

The club meeting today at UPS Alabang was post 6-months of our club mentoring. It was my 10th club meeting to attend as a club mentor and the theme for today's meeting was "Reality".

National Heroes Day was the theme for today's meeting. The theme was a bit late since we celebrated National Heroes Day last month. This happened because of two (or was it three?) meeting cancellations.

UPS Alabang Toastmasters Club Mentoring - 8th

It was a one kind of an energy-filled meeting today at the UPS GBS Toastmasters Club with new guests and second-timers attending. Not only that, today marked a major milestone where all but one of the prepared speeches were evaluated by the members themselves.

UPS Alabang Toastmasters Club Mentoring - 7th

Today's theme was "Happy Friendship Day" on a wet Friday the 13th. This time, we're seeing more new in-house evaluators. In addition to Ron, Jeffrey is now too, a prepared speech evaluator.

Jun 29, 2018 UPS Club Mentorship Meeting - 6th

It was another fun-filled Toastmasters club meeting today at UPS with the theme "Father's Day". I really tried my best not to be late this time. Yes, I was about 30 minutes early. Some folks there, not members, grumble about my being early for the 6 pm. meeting. Well, better that than late.

Outgoing President Ron Aguila was back from his honeymoon in time for the club elections that was held today. A new Toastmasters year is about to begin on July 1, 2018 and the club needs a new President. A new set of officers was called for and the website's officer list will be updated.

Jun 8, 2018 UPS Club Mentorship Meeting - 5th

The rainy season has started and it was a wet trip going to the meeting. I didn't expect though the heavy traffic to be all the way there at the venue in UPS.

I'm guessing the opening of classes had something to do with it. I did factor in the music festival at Filinvest, but still, yeah, I was late for 20 minutes. The meeting's theme was "Happy Independence Day".

Official in TI Website as UPS Club Mentor

Imagine my delight when finally, my name was reflected as a Club Mentor for the UPS Alabang Toastmasters Club. It hasn't been easy though and it was quite a long wait.

It was announced to the club by one of the original mentors, Anne, that I was officially the new mentor last May 4, 2018. I was to replace an original mentor, Marites. Although my assignment has been relayed to Toastmasters International even before that date, the TI website was still incorrect, reflecting the following:

May 28, 2018 UPS Club Mentorship Meeting - 4th

"Back to School" is tonight's theme at UPS. This is the third time I'm visiting UPS Alabang, and my second time as a Club Mentor. At the first time, I was invited as a General Evaluator.

We forgot all about the usual group pictorial at the meeting's end. So we had a photo instead at the reception desk/ lobby/ waiting area of the office at the 20th floor of Tower 2 of Insular Life Corporate Center building. May 4, 2018 UPS Meeting - First Time as Club Mentor - 3rd

"Fiesta" is the theme for today's meeting at the UPS Alabang TMC. The club members even hang "banderitas" (flaglets) to create the atmosphere. I was looking for the "lechon" though. Haha.

Apr 20, 2018 Club-Hopping as General Evaluator at UPS Alabang TMC - 2nd

It's my first time to attend the a UPS Alabang Toastmasters Club Meeting as General Evaluator. This is upon the invitation of the club's mentor, Anne Macalintal. My own club's president, Leah, also attended as a prepared speech evaluator. This is a corporate club and they're quite excited in the meeting. It's their second club meeting after being chartered, hence I put "2nd" in the title.

Club-Hopping as Guest Evaluator at UPS ACSC Alabang

Today I attended the UPS ACSC Toastmasters Club meeting as guest evaluator upon the invitation of Division Governor Dona Ado. The meeting was held at the 5th floor of the NOL Towers Bldg in Madrigal Business Park, Alabang.

Club President SB Lim and VP Education Denisse Lim were there to welcome guests. A stickler for time, SB Lim reversed the programme sequence and went ahead to discuss the club's business matters while waiting for the other guest evaluators to arrive. Division Governor Rema Manzano attended the meeting as General Evaluator.

There were 4 prepared speakers and 2 table topic speakers. Since Gov. Lolet and Beth didn't make it, it was up to Rema and myself to do the evaluation tasks.
