Pathways Mentor Program for Renzo - Start

Today, I touched base with my new mentor, Renzo, for his mentoring under the Pathways program of Toastmasters. There was an initial glitch though since I couldn't locate his name in the Club Roster at the TI website.

Apr 21, 2018 Toastmasters Meeting - Introduction to Toastmasters Mentoring

It was a different venue for our club meeting today. The regular venue at the Knights of Columbus room at MMCP was reserved earlier by the Parish for their fiesta preparations. Good thing Club Pres Leah was quick enough and able to secure an alternative at Gather Workspace. This is the same place where we had a coaching session for the Area Contest last year.

Apr 20, 2018 Club-Hopping as General Evaluator at UPS Alabang TMC - 2nd

It's my first time to attend the a UPS Alabang Toastmasters Club Meeting as General Evaluator. This is upon the invitation of the club's mentor, Anne Macalintal. My own club's president, Leah, also attended as a prepared speech evaluator. This is a corporate club and they're quite excited in the meeting. It's their second club meeting after being chartered, hence I put "2nd" in the title.

High Performance Leadership Program Milestones Post-Workshop

Shown below is the LDREXC Certificate as well as the Post-Workshop Milestones of the Public Speaking Workshops HPL Project. It is a continuation of the High Performance Leadership Program Milestones.

Leadership Excellence Award (LDREXC ) Certificate in the Mail

Today, I finally received my Leadership Excellence Award certificate together with the March issue of Toastmaster magazine. This is for the High Performance Leadership program I completed.

Initially, I didn't think there was a certificate for this award. But then, later, I saw some Facebook updates of friends posting their LDREXC certificates.

New Mentee in the Pathways Program of Toastmasters

Today, I was assigned a new mentee - Renzo Vergel de Dios. Renzo and two of his siblings have visited the club a few times. A few others have also expressed willingness to apply and join the club. I wonder though if any of them have actually applied and paid to become regular members.

Not wanting to lose new members, I posed a question to the Club Officers' chat group. And the question was if new members have been assigned mentors.

Apr 7, 2018 Toastmasters Meeting - Connect With Your Audience

It was an animated meeting today as I delivered my Connect With Your Audience speech, Level 2 of Innovative Planning path in Pathways. As a strategy to connect with the audience, I asked for a couple of volunteers, new member Lorenzo and guest Ken, to assist me with the magic show demo part in the speech.

Featured in April 2018 Issue of Toastmaster Magazine

Wow, at long last! Anne and I were finally featured and published in the Meet My Mentor column in the April, 2018 issue of the Toastmaster Magazine. Anne was feeling a bit disappointed that it was taking took long to be published. She has submitted the article way back in October, 2017 and started to worry that it wouldn't come out.
