Coaching Session for the Rookies Contest (HOT)

Cinnabon in Festival Mall was the meeting place for a coaching session for Renzo's contest speech. Renzo is entered in a Rookies Contest named "Headliners of Tomorrow" or HOT Contest. Giving valuable inputs at the coaching session was Leah.

Renzo and I started discussing at 4:30 pm and Leah came later at around 5:30.

This was the second time that I was meeting Renzo for a one-on-one. The first time was at the Sep 29, 2018 Toastmasters Meeting. In that meeting, we tried to pare down the numerous ideas that were mentioned in the speech.

We sent the draft to Leah and Leah did a good job in making the speech more focused with a central message. She was also able to inject bits of humor into the speech. This was something that challenged both Renzo and me.

We also talked about the visuals (slides) and a bit of the gestures. It was around 7 pm when we finished.
