Jan 20, 2018 Toastmasters Meeting - Ice Breaker IP1

It's been a while, and today I was Topicsmaster at the meeting. It was also my first time to jump into the Pathways program which was introduced last year.

It's something I've put in the back burner so I could concentrate and finish the last advanced speeches and educational talks for my ACG and ALB norms. Today's delivered speech was the Ice Breaker for the Innovative Planning path, Level 1.

The reason for my being the Topicsmaster (some call it Table Topics Master) today is because it was I who provided today's theme. The theme is "I'll pass as your comrade, no one will ever know."

It is a line from the song "The Cruel War" by the folk group, Peter Paul and Mary. Because of that, the table topics that were handed to the respondents referred to the war theme.

We had three guests today: Chino, Micha, and her brother, Thaddeus.

After this meeting, I had a brief discussion with Ching. Earlier on, Ching expressed to the group her interest to become a Guidance Committee member so she may get credit for her CL.

Upon learning that I was working on an HPL for the Presentation of the Child Jesus Parish - Commission on Youth, Ching mentioned about similar workshops being conducted at her friend's son's school. At this point, I was ready to recruit her to become a part of my Guidance Committee.

Shown below is the scanned copy of the meeting program.

And that's... a wrap!
