Omega Toastmasters Club Visit - 2nd

It was another night of fun and learning at the Omega Toastmasters Club in IPI, Las Piñas City. Unlike in the previous meeting, I was early to arrive this time.

But just my luck, the venue was occupied for a management meeting and the Toastmasters meeting had to be pushed back a little. No worries, I got to chat with a few members while waiting.

I almost couldn't believe it. With one more week to go to our Speakers Summit, all seats have been sold out. Yep, registration was closed!

Omega Toastmasters Club Visit - 1st

OMEGA. What a cool name for a Toastmasters club, I thought. It was later when I discovered that Omega Toastmasters Club belongs to International Pharmaceuticals Inc.

This is the company that lists Omega Pain Killer (yes, the popular sports liniment) as one of its many quality health care products. We always have their "Extra Strength" Efficascent Oil at home.

Club Success Planning for 2018-2019

The Club Success Planning session for BF Community TMC started with a pleasant sunny morning over at Mary Grace Cafe in the Alabang Town Center. Already at the venue were Ching, Cristina and Raul. If it weren't for ATC's malfunctioning parking booth boom bar, I would've arrived earlier.

Jul 21, 2018 Toastmasters Meeting

It was a wet rainy club meeting today aptly themed "Rainy Season Is Here Again!" By the amount of members and new guests gracing the meeting, it was obvious that the monsoon rains from typhoons "Inday" and "Josie" weren't enough to dampen the Toastmasters spirit.

Shown below are those who attended the meeting.

Standing (L-R): Jude Ola, Russell Santos, Jeff Ganaba, guests Bry and Marvin, Marlon Sanchez, Chris Camacho, Mark Nuqui, guests Grace and Marlyn, me, Renzo Vergel de Dios, Nath Batac, Micha Vergel de Dios, Krissy R. guest Bing, Ed Ramirez.

Club Officers Training 1 of 2018-2019 for Divisions H & K

Early birds! And there was a bunch of us here at Johnson & Johnson's Training Room in Parañque City even before the registration opened. Today was the Toastmasters Club Officers Training Round 1 for both Division H and K. After last night's meeting with the UPS Alabang Toastmasters Club, I failed to check the J&J Training start time, whether it was 8am or 9am. So I came early today just to be sure.
Among the early birds were (L-R): Tess Siapno, Cecile Reynales, Bunz Abuyuan, Toto Gustilo. At the back is Paolo Tipan. That's me farther back and photobombing the Metro South Alabang TMC.

11th Anniversary Celebration for BF Community TMC

We just turned 11! That's right. It's BF Community Toastmasters Club 11th Anniversary Celebration and it was last June 30 to be exact.

And... it's to celebrate the club's receiving President Distinguished Award!

And... it's the Duchess' Royal Birthday Celebration too! So from the Strategic Planning Meeting and Induction of Officers and New Members, the club members walked towards the Royal Residence in Firenze.

Induction of Officers and New Members 2018-2019

Right after today's Strategic Planning Meeting, the Induction of Club Officers and New Members for the BF Community Toastmasters club followed. This was held at the Function Hall of the Firenze Subdivision in Imus City, Cavite.

Jul 7, 2018 Strategic Planning at Firenze - Write A Compelling Blog

Today, the BF Community Toastmasters Club held its Strategic Planning / Club Meeting at the Firenze Subd. Function Hall in Imus City, Cavite.

Most of the speakers today gave Educational Talks, rather than the usual speech projects. DTM Raul delivered a Keynote Speech that is creditable to his Pathways Project Level 5. Shown below is Raul delivering the Keynote Address speech with me (seated far left) evaluating him.

Area Directors Training 2018-2019 (Luzon-Wide)

It was another long drive for me today to get to the Area Directors Training. The venue for the training was at the Bahay ng Alumni in UP Diliman. The training was for Area Directors for all Divisions in Luzon.

Here's the Area Directors Training flyer that was circulated to us in Facebook.

We started off with lunch at around 12 noon in the same training venue. After lunch was an Icebreaker session for Area Directors to somehow get acquainted.

I thought the Icebreaker session was a bit lengthy though. Each person around the room gave a short intro about himself, how he was feeling at the moment (from a list of emoticons), and then give a mini-speech providing the audience "two truths and a lie".

The "two truths and a lie" part was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it took so much time. Some made it a real guessing game for the audience. By the time everyone was done, a whole hour had passed!

Jun 29, 2018 UPS Club Mentorship Meeting - 6th

It was another fun-filled Toastmasters club meeting today at UPS with the theme "Father's Day". I really tried my best not to be late this time. Yes, I was about 30 minutes early. Some folks there, not members, grumble about my being early for the 6 pm. meeting. Well, better that than late.

Outgoing President Ron Aguila was back from his honeymoon in time for the club elections that was held today. A new Toastmasters year is about to begin on July 1, 2018 and the club needs a new President. A new set of officers was called for and the website's officer list will be updated.

Attending the meeting are shown below (L-R), Anne, Hella, Leah, Myzza, Philip, Mhelody, Jason, Ron, Reya, me, Owen, Jeff and Romer.
